Government in Cyprus is meant for Blue Flag program, which encourages clean and earth friendly beaches. This system is run and operated by one independent as well as non-profit organization, called Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). The beach is restricted in high summer as the turtles are nesting. Not recommended for children.
6. Coral Bay (Paphos) - is among famous beaches in Western Cyprus. Being located in the Peyia Municipality of Paphos, the beach is aproximatelly 10 minutes drive from Paphos. The seaside includes a beautiful long curved stretch of golden sand which falls in between 2 headlands. Calm and shallow waters offer up safe swimming environment for swimmers-novices and children. For those looking for a water adventure, well equipped diving, water skiing and canoeing clubs are widely available.
